Homage to Late Shri. W. Seshagiri Rao, the Visionary Leader of BSNL: On the 10th death anniversary of Late Shri W. Seshagiri Rao, the SNEA pays the respectful homage to a towering and lifelong leader of DoT/BSNL Executives.

As visionary trade unionist, Late Shri W. Seshagiri Rao,  served with distinction as General Secretary of JETA and TEOA, and later as the Founder President of SNEA, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy of dedication  and polite but strong leadership.

Late Shri W. Seshagiri Rao left an indelible mark through his pivotal role in steering the association during several critical HR challenges and in securing landmark achievements that significantly enhanced the career progression of officers in both DoT and BSNL. His tireless efforts played a decisive role in shaping policies that benefitted generations of executives.

Late Shri W. Seshagiri Rao was widely recognized for his unwavering advocacy for better pay scales, cadre restructuring, promotional avenues, and cadre upgrades including the conversion of JE to JTO and the attainment of gazetted status. His commitment to association activities continued even after his formal retirement, reflecting his deep sense of responsibility towards the executive community.

His inclusive leadership style, personal engagement with members, and fearless participation in major association struggles earned him profound respect and admiration across the BSNL fraternity.

Many of the benefits enjoyed by BSNL executives today are a direct result of  visionary leadership and lifetime contribution to association movements by Late Shri W. Seshagiri Rao.

Known for his clarity of thought, simplicity, approachability, and steadfast commitment to collective struggle, Late Shri W. Seshagiri Rao remained closely connected with association activities and the welfare of executives until the last breath of his highly valued life.

SNEA remembers him on his 10th death anniversary and we reaffirm our resolve to uphold the values and principles he cherished throughout his life. His legacy of dedication, unity, and sacrifice will continue to guide SNEA in its ongoing struggles for the rights and welfare of BSNL Executives.
